Spring brings renewal and anticipation for the summer ahead.  There’s something very invigorating about spring green tree leaves emerging from winterized branches, birds ambitiously chirping and the first signs of flowers in residential pots and rural fields.

One of the best places to witness the rebirth of spring is in the Niagara region of Canada. Niagara attractions abound: take your pick of inspiring outdoor pursuits like seeing one of the wonders of the world flanked by fluorescent green trees, picnicking in numerous parks and botanical gardens, driving one of the prettiest stretches of road in North America along the Niagara River, or feasting at one of the local cuisine focused Niagara restaurants.

Gems like Kurtz Orchard Farms is a must-do if you’re at all a foodie, nature lover or if you’re planning a wedding. Located along the Niagara River with beautiful grounds and views, it’s a great place to pick up a picnic basket lunch including fresh baked pie and then contemplate your budding appetite for life while you satiate your stomach and senses.

Each year, the spring flowers display pops of colors at the Niagara Botanical Gardens. Niagara Parks annually plants more than 30,000 daffodils – more than any other park in North America – earning it the moniker, “Daffodil Capital of North America.”  This is the perfect time of year to catch the spring flowering bulbs and carpet bedding displays in the park.

Spring really celebrates renewal in the Niagara region. It’s worth a visit!
